PURPOSE:
To provide opportunity to trainees in Critical Care to do quality research during their training period
NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS PER YEAR:
Maximum of 4 research proposal will be approved in one year and quantum of grant not to be exceeded is 2.5lac rupees per proposal
ELIGIBILITY:
- Trainee in Critical Care (IDCCM, IFCCM, DrNB, DM)
- Student should be a member of ISCCM
- Supervisor should be a teacher of ISCCM
SELECTION PROCESS:
All applications will be scrutinized by the research committee (RC). Based on scientific robustness and methodology, proposals will be approved by RC for grant. If there are more than 4 proposals which have been approved by RC for grant, then the list will be prioritized and submitted to EC for approval of additional grant. If there are any close relative of RC member who has applied for the grant or the RC member is the supervisor of the student who has applied for the grant, then that RC member should abstain from selection process or voting.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
After approval and signing of MoU – 50% of the approved amount Interim report (at least 50% recruitment completed) – Further 25% On completion of the study, final report submission and submission to IJCCM for publication – Remaining 25%
DISBURSAL OF GRANT
Once the scholarship is sanctioned, a tripartite MoU will be signed between ISCCM, Candidate and Institute Head / Medical Superintendent
